The Northwestern State Demons will head to College Station and face the Texas A&M Aggies from the Reed Arena on the SEC Network.

Northwestern State fell to 8-4 after losing to Baylor in Waco. The Demons suffered their second straight Lone Star loss in a row after being held to a season-low 48 points. NWST did hold their own tho, only losing to the Bears 58-48 and covering the generous 28-point margin. Northwestern State is scoring 72.3 points per game, while 74.3 allowing ppg, and shooting 40.3% from the field.

New head coach Corey Gipson brought a few of his guys over from Missouri State and they’ve helped change the culture in Natchitoches. Senior guards Demarcus Sharp and Jamonta’ Black have led the charge early on for the Demons. Demarcus Sharp dropped 30+ in back-to-back wins over SFA and Southern Miss, and he leads NSU in scoring (16.3) and assists (3.8). Black scored 25 in the upset win over TCU, then topped it with a 31-point showing against in-state foe UL-Monroe. Black is scoring 14.2 ppg, while fellow former MOST guard Isaac Haney  is third on the team with 12.4 ppg.
