Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (6-5) vs. San Francisco Dons (8-4) 

The 2023-24 college hoops season goes on Wednesday, December 20, with the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks taking on the San Francisco Dons in the non-conference showdown at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center in San Francisco, California.  

The Lumberjacks meet the Dons for the first time since 2018, and San Francisco aims for its third straight victory over the Lumberjacks. The Dons open as 15-point home favorites with a total of 135.0 points.

The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (6-5; 6-5 ATS) head to San Francisco riding a four-game winning streak. During that stretch, the Lumberjacks defeated Pacific 78-58, Abilene Christian 78-76, Incarnate Word 76-75, and Southern Utah 76-74. 

Last Saturday, the Lumberjacks held Southern Utah to 42.0% shooting from the field. They escaped with a victory despite scoring just two points in the final 3:33 of the second half. Northern Arizona made 53.3% of its field goals (8-for-19 from deep), and junior guard Trenton McLaughlin led the way with 19 points and four assists. 

Northern Arizona is No. 228 in the KenPom rankings and No. 244 at Bart Torvik. The Lumberjacks score 99.6 points per 100 possessions (267th in the country) while surrendering 104.8 points in return (173rd). Their defense is ninth in the country in 3-point percentage (26.7%) and 311th in 2-point percentage (55.1%).
