The Mean Green have won six out of their last seven games and are 2-1 in conference play this season. North Texas took out FIU on Saturday in a 72-57 home win. The defensive-minded Mean Green had a strong day on the offensive end with four players scoring in double figures. Tylor Perry led the way with 20 points as North Texas shot 50% from the field in the win. The team made 11 3pt shots on Saturday, hitting on 52% of their long range bombs.
“How we played offensively today shows what our potential can be on that end of the court,” said senior Tyree Eady who scored a season-high 11 points against FIU. “We were confident shooters today and made our free throws.”
