The North Dakota Fighting Hawks and Denver Pioneers face off on Friday in a college basketball showdown in the Summit League Tournament at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. When these two teams faced off on February 9th it was North Dakota that secured the 86-83 victory.
North Dakota comes into this game with a 12-19 record overall and they have gone 15-14 against hte spread, They have mostly struggled this season, but in the last game they were able to secure a win. The offense scored 82 points and that was enough to secure the eight point victory. Tsotne Tsartsidze had a strong game finishing with 20 points and seven rebounds. They are averaging 71.5 points while their defense is giving up 73.4 points per game. They like to push the pace, but the defense has been an isssue at times. B.J. Omot is averaging 12 points while shooting 39 percent from the field and 30.7 percent from behind the three point line.
On the other side of this matchup is Dehver who sits with a 15-16 record and they have gone 13-15-1 record. In the last game against Omaha, Denver gave up only 61 points and that led to the 11 point victory. Tevin Smith finished with 18 points and seven rebounds. Denver is averaging 72.8 points while their defense is giving up 74.8 points per game. Tommy Bruner is averaging 15.8 points while shooting 40.2 percent from the field and 32.4 percent from behind the three point line.
