The No. 21 North Carolina Tar Heels (6-1) square off against a fellow ACC foe when they host the Pittsburgh Panthers (4-2) on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Kenan Memorial Stadium.

In their last game, the Tar Heels took down the Duke Blue Devils 38-35. The Panthers are coming off of a 24-10 loss to the Louisville Cardinals. Drake Maye threw for 380 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions on 28-of-38 passing (73.7%) for the Heels in that matchup against the Blue Devils. He also added 18 carries for 70 yards. Caleb Hood carried the ball 10 times for 48 yards (4.8 yards per carry). He also had five receptions for 32 yards and one touchdown. Josh Downs had 126 yards on nine catches (14.0 per reception) in that game. Kedon Slovis’ showing for the Panthers against the Cardinals included 16-of-29 passing for 158 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. Israel Abanikanda carried the ball 28 times for 129 yards (4.6 yards per attempt) with one touchdown. In the passing game, he added three catches for 50 yards. Gavin Bartholomew collected two catches for 24 yards (on five targets).

The Tar Heels are field goal favorites in their matchup with the Panthers. The over/under is 64.5 points.
