North Carolina at Notre Dame – 2/22/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The North Carolina Tar Heels will travel to South Bend to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in ACC play from the Dean Smith Center on ESPN. UNC leads the all-time series, 28-9, after winning the first meeting in Chapel Hill last month.

North Carolina dropped to 15-7 after losing to N.C. State in Raleigh. The Tar Heels fell apart late, and lost to the Wolfpack by eight points, 77-69. UNC is scoring 78.5 points per game, while allowing 71.7 ppg, and shooting 44.8% from the floor.

North Carolina has dropped five of their last six games, and they’re in real danger of missing the Big Dance for the NIT.  The Tar Heels are 8-8 ACC play, with a 2-7 road record. Veteran big Armando Bacot posted his eighth double-double in ten games last time out, and he leads UNC in scoring (17.3) and rebounding (11.1). Caleb Love and RJ Davis were one of the top backcourt tandem in the country last season, but they haven’t delivered winning results this season. Love has scored 20 points or more in five of the last six games, but his erratic shot selection has really hindered the Heels down the stretch. Love scores 17.2 ppg, while Davis averages 15.9 ppg and 4.9 rpg.
