Buffalo Sabres ML (+136) over Washington Capitals

Let's get things started with what should be a great Eastern Conference clash in the nation's capital. The Sabres may not be the most complete team, but they have the firepower to pull off some upsets. Led by Tage Thompson, they are the highest-scoring team in the NHL, especially as of late. Buffalo is scoring nearly 4.5 goals per over the last month, and the Caps’ calling card has largely been their defense.'

However, Buffalo is one of the few teams that have the ability to' penetrate it. It should also help Thompson and company that Caps defender John Carlson will not be on the ice tonight. Buffalo's recent loss may cause hesitation given it was a very rare case of them scoring just 1 goal. It's important to note that it was the 2nd night of a back-to-back in which they had to travel up to Ottawa to take on the Senators. Ironically enough, that same Sens team recently took down the Caps. This play will likely be the biggest sweat of the 3, but there's significant value with the Sabres in this spot.'
