NHL Tuesday parlay at mega (+1016) odds, today 12/6

I've been fortunate enough to cash 3 mega parlays over a 5 day span within the last week, so let me try to bring another one your way. The most recent one was at +1140 odds, and we have another one north of +1000 as well. There's no shortage of options tonight, with 9 games on the ice. There's several matchups with significant favorites, but we've still found value in 3 different spots. We're getting things started with the earliest games and capping it off out west with the last game of the night.'

Before we dive in, be sure to check out our NHL picks for today's action.

Tampa Bay Lightning -1.5 (+106) over Detroit Red Wings

One of the first puck drops of the night will be taking place in Tampa Bay tonight. It's a city that is no stranger to great hockey, as the Lightning have been in the Stanley Cup Final each of the last 3 seasons. There's no doubt that the Red Wings look stronger this season, but Tampa is firing on all cylinders right now. After a mediocre start to the season, they've since catapulted to 3rd in the Atlantic Division with a chance at leap-frogging the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. They've gotten to this point by winning 8 of their last 10 games.'

However, that doesn't even do the stretch justice. The only 2 contests they lost during that span were both to the Boston Bruins, one of just 2 teams with 20 wins on the season. While Detroit is a more formidable opponent than years past, they still aren't the caliber of the Lightning. Their goaltending has improved, but primarily at home. When on the road, they're still a bottom-10 team in that regard, and Tampa has some of the NHL's most elite goal-scorers in Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov. They combined for 16 points across 4 games against Detroit last season, and should have strong nights again tonight.'
