Edmonton Oilers center Leon Draisaitl has cleared this total with 3+ shots on goal in 23 of 45 games for a 51% success rate on the season.
Draisaitl has fallen short in 3 of his last 5 games but he has been lights out on the road, clearing this mark in 13 of 22 games away from home (59%).
He has also absolutely feasted on the Vegas Golden Knights with 3+ shots in his last 3, 8 of his last 9 and 12 of his last 15 games against them.
The Knights rank 18th in shots on goal with 31.46 per game and 26th in shot attempts allowed with 66.04 per game.
This is Draisaitl’s first game back in action since the break and he gets to face his favorite opponent on the road where he seems to prefer to play. Let’s back him to get back on track tonight.
NHL Player Props Predictions 2: Alex Ovechkin, Capitals 3.5 Shots on Goal (-120) DK
Washington Capitals left winger Alex Ovechkin is averaging 3.4 shots on goal per game this season while only recording 4+ shots in 19 of 44 games for a 43% success rate to the over.
However, this matchup is too good to pass up as the Montreal Canadiens rank 27th in shots on goal allowed per game (34.47/game) and 29th in shot attempts (68.84/game).
The Habs have been even worse recently as they have allowed the MOST shots on goal during the last 10 games and 5th most to opposing wingers.
Ovechkin absolutely loves this matchup as he recorded five shots on goal against them in October and he’s cleared this mark in 5 of his last 6 head-to-head games. Ovechkin has recorded 5+ shots on goal in 3 of those 6 games and I’m backing him to get four tonight.
