NHL Player Props & Best Bets Today – Schedule, Picks for Tuesday's Stanley Cup Playoffs Actioniv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

There's a trio of home favorites hitting the ice Tuesday, and the Carolina Hurricanes can be the first team to punch a ticket to Round 2 of the NHL Playoffs with a win over the New York Islanders. Sportsbook Review betting analyst Neil Parker weighs in on the action and offers his top picks based on the NHL odds from our best sportsbooks.

Carolina has advanced to the second round each of the past two postseasons. Even with multiple impact scorers snacking in the press box, the 'Canes are priced to storm over the Isles again Thursday.

Tuesday's other two series have arrived at a pivotal Game 5 in a 2-2 draw.

The Dallas Stars and Minnesota Wild have traded wins, as have the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings. But both the Stars and Oilers can capitalize on home-ice advantage and take the lead in their series for the first time.

Here are our NHL best bets and player props for Monday (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Tuesday's NHL player prop picks

The Minny sophomore found the back of the net 31 times during the regular season with a 12.2 shooting percentage. But it's been tougher sledding during the postseason.

Boldy has been blanked in the goals column through the first four games of this series despite registering 17 shots, 26 attempts, six individual high-danger scoring chances, and 1.63 individual expected goals.

The per 60 minutes rates are right in line with his regular-season numbers, so positive regression is ahead for the blossoming power forward. Additionally, only one player has posted a higher shots per 60 mark without a goal during the playoffs than Boldy.

DraftKings FanDuel BetMGM Caesars PointsBet

The odds available through four of our five best sportsbooks are comparable, with Caesars hanging a prohibitive and unrecommended number. The FanDuel price presents a positive expected value of 41% and an added profit of $9.50 on a winning $10 dollar ticket.

The Oilers have held Doughty in check while allowing him to record just a single point through the first four games of the series. He's spent the bulk of his five-on-five ice time matched up against Edmonton's best players, and Doughty has been caved in with a Corsi For percentage of 43.5.

Doughty's only postseason point was a power-play assist, and I expect Los Angeles to cool on the power play as the series progresses. Five of the Kings' 13 goals have come with the man advantage through four games, and their 29.4 po wer-play percentage is above the team's 24.3 regular-season mark.

Edmonton is also eyeing statistical correction when down a man, with their postseason penalty-kill sitting 6.4 percentage points lower than the club's regular-season average.

Additionally, the Oilers were more disciplined in Game 4, and they continue to dominate key five-on-five metrics while producing a 56.7 Corsi For percentage and 55.2 expected goals for percentage. Those two marks respectively rank first and second in the postseason.
