We mentioned that there was just one early afternoon game, so there's no better place for your NHL parlay picks to start. It's taking place in Philadelphia, and the Flyers have gotten off to a strong start to the season. Winning their season openers has actually been a staple of the franchise in recent years, but it's gone further than that this season. Despite the low expectations, they're fighting for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division, and today's matchup is a great one for them to inch closer. One of the few teams with lower expectations than Philly is the Anaheim Ducks.'
They just pulled off a shocking upset over the Boston Bruins, so this is the perfect let-down spot for them. It's their third straight road game in a stretch of four total road games, and Flyers goaltender Carter Hart has been keeping far tougher opponents from finding the back of the net. Anaheim opened the season scoring more than 2 goals just once in their first 5 games, and in the 2 meetings between these teams last season, Philly outscored them 9-3.
