Tuesday's NHL schedule has eight games, including three premier matchups from the Eastern Conference. Check out today's picks.
First up, the New Jersey Devils visit the Carolina Hurricanes in a matchup of the top two teams in the Metropolitan Division. Both teams have 44 points in 31 games and New Jersey has a stellar 11-1-1 road record.
The third- and fourth-place teams in the Metropolitan Division, the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins, also meet Tuesday. The Rangers have 41 points, one more than the Penguins, but Pittsburgh has played two fewer games. Both teams have a goal differential of plus-19, which is tied for seventh-best overall.
Over in the Atlantic Division, the Tampa Bay Lightning travel to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs. Toronto has 44 points in 32 games, three points ahead of Tampa Bay but with two more games played.
