NHL Bets Today: Best NHL Player Prop Bets for Thursday, March 30th

There are a 11 games on Thursday’s NHL schedule, but the card doesn’t offer many enticing sides or totals. There are a couple of player prop bets that I think are worth sharing, though. Here are today's best NHL player prop bets.

Today's NHL Player Prop Bets

Boston played one of their worst games of the season on Tuesday when they lost 2-1 to the Nashville Predators, and while bettors should be concerned that the Bruins will look past weaker opponents down the stretch, the leadership group was adamant that playing down to opponents, like the Blue Jackets, is inexcusable. The Bruins will win the Presidents’ Trophy with a win on Thursday and secure home-ice advantage throughout the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Bettors should expect a solid effort from the league’s best team, but that’s reflected in the game line, as the Bruins are listed at -450, which implies that they will win more than 80 percent of the time.

There is one player that I handicap quite a bit differently than the market does, though, and that’s Bruins’ forward Jake DeBrusk. The 26-year-old ranks second on the team in shots per 60 minutes since returning from injury on February 18th and has registered at least three shots on goal in six of his last nine games. However, when you consider the opponent, DeBrusk is a lot more likely to go over 2.5 shots. The Blue Jackets are the third-worst team in shots against per 60 minutes. DeBrusk has registered 3.75 shots per game against the league’s bottom-10 teams in that category. He’s gone over 2.5 shots in 11 of 16 games against those teams and this prop should be priced closer to -160, not -135.

Bet: Jake DeBrusk Over 2.5 Shots on Goal -135
