When they were 2-6, who could have guessed the Jaguars would be among the last eight teams standing? Likewise, when they fell behind the Chargers 27-0 last week, who would have guessed they would have come all the way back to win? But the Jaguars did all that, making them a somewhat dangerous road underdog against the top-seeded Chiefs, as Jacksonville is already playing with house money.

The obvious caveat is the Jags suffered a 27-17 loss at Arrowhead Stadium earlier this season. That gives them six straight head-to-head losses against the Chiefs. They haven't won a game in Kansas City since 2007 when David Garrard was Jacksonv ille's quarterback while Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle played for the Chiefs.

However, the Jags have won six straight games, including three straight on the road and four straight as underdogs. While Jacksonville is now 8-5 SU as an underdog, the only game the Jags have been an underdog by more than a touchdown was that loss in Kansas City in November.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs have 10 wins in their last 11 games. The catch is that they're just 2-4 ATS in their last six games. They are also just 4-4 ATS when favored by more than a touchdown, so blowout wins against teams the oddsmakers perceive to be weaker have been anything but automatic. That being said, the Chiefs are 9-7 in the playoffs under Andy Reid. Perhaps more importantly, they are 4-0 in the divisional round with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback. Also, each of those four games except last year's overtime game with Buffa lo was decided by more than 10 points.
