Week 2 Anytime Touchdown Scorer Value Bets

The Commanders travel to Detroit this Sunday to take on the Lions as they look to build off of last week's win with over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Detroit is coming off of their opener with the Eagles in which it allowed 216 rushing yards and rushing touchdowns to four different players. Even last year, the Lions were abysmal against the run as they allowed 135 rushing yards per game and just over one rushing touchdown per game as well. This should open up plenty of opportunities for Gibson in an offense that moved the ball well against the Jaguars last week.

In Week 1, Gibson was targeted heavily in the passing game, with seven receptions for 72 yards on eight targets. If he can forge a solid connection with Carson Wentz and build off of last week, his role in the passing game should stay consistent and we are then looking at a more complete back than what we got last year. While Gibson was held out of the end zone last weekend, the has a much better shot of finding it Sunday. Last year, it took him a couple of weeks to finally find the end zone, so a quiet Week 1 is no concern here.
