Houston Texans ML over Tennessee Titans (+140)

After the Texans got trounced by the Jets and the Titans pulled off a huge upset against the Dolphins, I feel like we have a great betting opportunity here on Houston with the market overreacting on both sides. I understand CJ Stroud’s status is doubtful for Sunday as he is still in concussion protocol at the time of writing, but even if he does miss the game, I still like the Texans to take care of business. This team’s run game has been solid all season long and Davis Mills is more than capable of moving the chains, especially now he has some capable receivers out wide compared to what he was dealing with last season. This Titans team is still looking set to miss the playoffs and the jury is still out on how good Will Levis is. Give me Houston to pick up the road win.

Kansas City Chiefs -13.5 alternate spread over New England Patriots (+172)

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs were furious at the offside call that cost them the game against the Bills last week, and as a result, I expect Kansas City to take their frustration out on New England. The Chiefs have lost 3 of their last 4 games to suddenly bring the Broncos back into contention for the division, but it is clear that Kansas City still has plenty of motivation to kick on and defend its Super Bowl title. New England’s problems on offense is well documented, having scored more than 17 points just once in their last 6 games, and they are now coming up against a Chiefs defense that has quietly looked among the best this season, holding the Dolphins, Eagles and Bills to 21 points or less in recent weeks. I can’t see how the Patriots keep pace with Kansas City in this one and expect a dominant performance from head coach Andy Reid’s team.
