NFL DFS Picks for Steelers vs Browns Thursday Night

Week 3 of the NFL season kicks off with a fantastic AFC North rivalry on Thursday Night Football as the Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns. This rivalry dates back to 1950 when the Browns won the first eight meetings between the two clubs. Lately, however, the Steelers have asserted some dominance as they are 4-2 against Cleveland during their last six regular season games and are 5-1 against the spread in those contests. The low game total of 38 tells us it's going to be an old-fashioned, hard-nosed bat tle between these two clubs, so building a winning DFS Showdown lineup is going to take some work.

Fortunately, we've got you covered right here.'

MVP/Captain

It's not just about having a three-touchdown game. It's about Chubb being the best running back in the NFL. Have you ever watched this guy run? Give him a consistent 20 touches out of the backfield each week and this guy is leading the league in rushing yards and touchdowns every year. He's that good. So why doesn't Kevin Stefanski lean on him more? That's the million-dollar question. The Steelers are giving up 128 rushing yards per game through the first two weeks, and we know the Browns want to run the ball to assert dominance and keep the pressure off their quarterback. That screams captain's seat for your lineup.

The Browns secondary is the most vulnerable part of their defense, and if we expect the Browns to run heavily with Chubb, we are expecting the Steelers to need to throw. Cleveland's DVOA coverage numbers are weak, they've allowed almost 260 passing yards per game, five touchdowns through the air, and opposing quarterbacks have posted a 101.6 passer rating against them.
