The New York Yankees face the Seattle Mariners with both teams looking to build on strong seasons. The Mariners have a 28-27 record and are in the mix in a competitive American League East Division. For the series finale, the Yankees will turn to Clarke Schmidt as their starting pitcher who hopes to rebound after allowing 10 runs in his last three starts while the Mariners will turn to George Kirby, who looks to bounce back after allowing seven runs in his last game, as their starter.

The Yankees are having a great season and are hoping to wrap up a month where they went 18-9 to climb back into the division race on a high note. In addition, with a 10.6 Barrel Percentage, a 47.0 Hard-Hit Percentage, and a 4.93 expected ERA, opponents are making hard contact and crushing the ball against Schmidt to easily drive in runs.

While Schmidt has struggled, the lineup has stepped up this season, scoring 4.70 runs per game. Aaron Judge is slashing .302/.408/.679 with 17 home runs and 110 total bases while Anthony Rizzo is slashing .304/.376/.505 with 11 home runs and 103 total bases to add power to the heart of the lineup but the rest of the lineup has been great as well.
