New York Yankees vs. Oakland Athletics Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 6-28-2023

Los Angeles Dodgers (43-34) vs. Colorado Rockies (31-49)

The 2023 MLB season continues Wednesday, June 28, with the Los Angeles Dodgers taking on the Colorado Rockies in the NL West showdown at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, and the first pitch is set for 8:40 PM ET.

It’s the second contest of a three-game series in Denver, and Tuesday’s opener has been excluded from the analysis. Back in April, the Dodgers swept the Rockies in a two-game set at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Dodgers fell to 43-34 on the season following Sunday’s 6-5 defeat to the Houston Astros in extra innings. The Boys in Blue failed to sweep a three-game set against the reigning World Series champions, putting an end to their four-game winning streak.

The Dodgers have been pretty unpredictable over the last few weeks, going 9-11 through their first 20 outings in June. They are hitting a poor .217/.300/.340 with 13 doubles and 11 home runs in the last two weeks and 373 at-bats, while the Dodgers’ bullpen has recorded a 4.24 ERA and 3.24 FIP during that span (46.2 innings pitched).

The Dodgers haven’t announced who’ll get the starting call Wednesday at Coors Field. They will probably opt for a bullpen day just like they did last Wednesday in a 2-0 victory at the Los Angeles Angels. The Dodgers used seven relievers, who gave up just a couple of hits to the Angels while combining for eight strikeouts.
