The Yankees rolled through Baltimore over the weekend, taking two of three games including the final two of the series. Aaron Judge seems to have picked up where he left off in his 2022 MVP season. On Sunday, Judge powered the Yankees past the Orioles with two home runs in a 5-3 win. Starter Nestor Cortes continued his mastery over the Orioles, going 6+ innings and allowing just two runs. The two runs were the first allowed to the Orioles by Cortes in his career. Franchy Cordero also homered for New York, with the team now homering in all nine games this season.

The Yankees will send German to the hill for his second start of the season on Monday night. He allowed four runs in 4.2 innings in his first start against the Phillies. German made eight appearances on the road last season after returning from injury. He went 0-4 with an ERA of 3.46 in those games. He pitched 39 innings and allowed 37 hits, including six home runs. German had a K/9 ratio of 6.92 on the road in 2022.
