The ALDS heads back to Cleveland tied at 1 game a piece Saturday night following game two on Friday. The Yankees come into game three after the loss in their makeup game on Friday afternoon. Nestor Cortes got the start for New York giving up two runs on six hits across 5 innings leading to a no decision. The New York bullpen was lights out allowing no runs on no hits before Jameson Taillon came on to allow two runs on three hits and record no outs leading to the loss.

Offensively New York was abysmal from the plate with only six hits in 35 at bats including 0-7 with runners in scoring position to leave 10 men on base. Giancarlo Stanton was the only bright spot in the New York lineup with a two run home run in the first inning to drive in all of the New York runs.
