The New York Yankees will continue a road trip Saturday night in Boston for game two of three against the Boston Red Sox. New York comes into Saturday as one of the best teams in baseball 30 games over .500 despite losing four of the last five games played including two in a row following a 4-3 last to the Seattle Mariners. Nester Cortes got the start for New York giving up three runs on three hits across 6 innings of work leading to a no decision. Albert Abreu came on in relief to allow one run on two hits across one inning leading to the loss.

Offensively New York was miserable against Seattle with only four hits in 31 at bats including 0-3 with runners in scoring position to leave six men on base. Kyle Higashioka was the biggest bright spot in the New York offense with a two run home run in the seventh inning. Aaron Judge chipped in as well with a solo home run.

The Boston Red Sox come into Saturday three games below .500 following a win over the Baltimore Orioles that ended a long losing streak. Josh Winckowski got the start for Boston giving up three runs on six hits across 5.2 innings leading to a no decision.
