The offense was great, but the pitching is a concern. New York scored six in the second, then watched Oakland battle back to score at least one run in five straight innings. The bullpen gave up two earned runs in 4.1 innings. Max Scherzer gets the start. He is 2-1 but with a 4.41 ERA. The right-hander tossed five one-hit innings in his last outing.
