New York Mets vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 4-4-2023

The NY Mets (3-2) face Milwaukee (3-1) on the road on Tuesday night at 7:40pmET from American Family Field.

The Brewers won the first game 10-0 as Freddy Peralta threw six shutout innings for Milwaukee.

Carlos Carrasco's debut on the mound was not a pretty one. He allowed five runs in four innings, while walking four on Monday night against the Brewers. The bullpen didn't help out as Tommy Hunter allowed five runs in two innings with five hits and two walks.

It was a rough game for the Mets, who won three of their first four games against Miami. They send “Mad” Max Scherzer to the mound, who is 3-3 with a 2.14 ERA in 11 career appearances against the Brewers. He had a solid outing against Miami in the opener on March 30, allowing three runs in six innings with two walks in a 5-3 Mets win. Scherzer has to step up because Justin Verlander (shoulder) is out of action along with Jose Quintana (ribs) and closer Edwin Diaz (knee), who is out for the year.
