New York had a big offensive showing in their last game at home against the Thunder but they were horrific defensively, leading to a 10-point home defeat. The Knicks entered Monday night 6-7 and stood fourth in the Atlantic Division, four games behind the Celtics for the top spot. Against Oklahoma City, New York opened the game hot, leading 48-36 after the opening quarter, but that was the high-water mark for them. The Knicks trailed by six at the half, by 16 after three quarters and by as many as 19 in the second half as they couldn’t get closer than three at any point after intermission. New York shot 49.5% from the field, including 10 of 31 from three-point range, but allowed Oklahoma City to shoot 62.5% in the game. Cam Reddish led the Knicks with 26 points in the victory.
For the year, the Knicks are 12th in the league in scoring offense with 114.7 points per contest entering this game. New York is 3rd in the league in rebounding as they collect 47.4 rebounds per game while they are 17th in the league in assists by dishing out 24.3 dimes per contest. The Knicks are 19th in the league in threes per game as they knock down 11.5 triples a night while they are 29th in three-point shooting by hitting 32.5% of their attempts from beyond the arc.
Robinson (knee) was injured on November 4 against the 76ers and is expected to be reevaluated later this week. He is expected to miss at least seven to 10 days so he is likely out here.
