The New York Knicks came into Christmas Day ready to battle one of the hottest teams in the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks came in on a seven-game winning streak and had won each of the first three games of the season series with the Knicks by an average of over 15.5 points. In all, the Knicks had lost each of their last nine meetings with Milwaukee. Behind 38 points from Jalen Bruson, the Knicks ended their drought against the Bucks with a 129-111 Christmas Day win. Julius Randle chipped in with 24 points and nine rebounds, RJ Barrett pumped in 21 points and Immanuel Quickley gave the Knicks a critical 20 points off the bench. The Knicks improved to 17-12 on the season.
“They’re a good team. We feel like we’re a good team as well, so just kind of taking that challenge, accepting that challenge that we hadn’t got them yet,” Quickley said. “It had been a while, so this was a good one to get.”
