New York Knicks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-30-2022

The New York Knicks (3-2, 3-2 ATS, 4-1 O/U) battle the Cleveland Cavaliers (4-1, 4-1 ATS, 3-2 O/U)  in an Eastern Conference bout on Sunday evening. The Knicks lost a road clash to the Bucks in their previous action.  The Cavaliers dropped a road decision to the Celtics on Friday night. The Cavs went 3-0 against the Knicks last season.

The New York Knicks are seeking their first road victory of the season. They lost their first road game in an overtime decision in the season opener and answered that one with three consecutive home wins. The winning streak came to an end in a 119-108 road loss to the Bucks on Friday night in a clash that had the Knicks labeled as six-point dogs. NY has covered the spread three times this season.

Julius Randle has been inconsistent and had a rough night in Friday’s loss, going 3 for 10 from the field. The 27-year-old power forward has shot 42% or lower in three out of his last four clashes and has recorded an average of 19 PPG along with 9.4 RPG. Randle averaged 18.5 points against the Cavs last year. Jalen Brunson has been hot, amassing over 20 points in two out of his last three games. The 26-year-old point guard has filed an average of 18.6 PPG accompanied by a stellar 7.3 APG. RJ Barrett delivered 20 points on Friday night. The 22-year-old is struggling from three-point land and is averaging 18.2 PPG on the season.

The Knicks need to get their three-point shooting in a groove, ranking 26th with a 33.3% efficiency. They have been involved in many high-scoring games and are averaging 119.8 points, good for fifth in the entire NBA. The Knicks are allowing an average of 114.6 points, pegging them 19th.
