New York snapped a four-game slide as they took down Cleveland at home Tuesday night in their previous game. The Knicks entered Monday 26-23 and stand fourth in the Atlantic Division, nine games behind Boston for the top spot. They stood seventh in the Eastern Conference, nine games behind Boston for the top spot, one game behind Miami for the final guaranteed playoff spot and four games clear of the Wizards to stay in the playoff picture. Against Cleveland, New York led by seven after the opening quarter and by as many as 11 in the second quarter before seeing the lead trimmed to two at the half. The Knicks pushed the margin back to five after three quarters and extended to an 11-point edge again with 8:09 remaining only to see the Cavaliers storm back. With the game tied at 100 with 2:29 to play, the Knicks scored the next five points and hung on as Cleveland missed a pair of shots in the final five seconds to tie the game. New York shot 49.3% from the field, including 17 of 33 from three-point range, and overcame 15 turnovers in the game. Julius Randle led the Knicks with 36 points and 13 rebounds in the win.

For the year, the Knicks are 14th in the league in scoring offense with 114.1 points per contest entering this game. New York is 3rd in the league in rebounding as they collect 47.3 rebounds per game while they are 27th in the league in assists by dishing out 22.6 dimes per contest. The Knicks are 9th in the league in scoring defense by allowing 112.1 points per contest. Julius Randle leads the team with 24.6 points, 10.9 rebounds and four assists per contest. Robinson (thumb) has been ruled out for this game as he recovers from surgery. He last played on January 18 and is expected to miss at least three weeks. Fournier (personal) missed the game against the Cavaliers on January 24. Watch for any updates on his status.
