The New York Jets (5-8, 5-7-1 ATS, 5-8 O/U) battle the Miami Dolphins (9-4, 8-5 ATS, 8-5 O/U) in a divisional bout on Sunday afternoon. The Jets earned a dominating home win against the Texans on Sunday. The Dolphins were hit with a surprising home loss against the Titans. These rivals met last month in a game the Dolphins won by a 34-13 score.

The New York Jets are in the win column. The squad endured a disastrous five-game losing streak through November and early this month. This includes a 27-6 home loss to the Chargers and a 32-6 loss to the Bills. The squad rebounded from a home loss to the Falcons two weeks ago by recording a convincing 30-6 home win against the Texans on Sunday in a bout that had NY as three-point dogs. The Jets have covered the spread in only one of their last five games.

Zach Wilson had his best performance of the season last week, amassing 301 passing yards. The 24-year-old QB has taken heat from the media and has not lived up to expectations. The New York offense has only scored more than 20 points on three occasions all season.

The Jets’ defense is among the best in the NFL. The unit is rarely exposed, allowing 30 or more points on just three occasions. They have allowed just 19 points in their last two games. The defense held Stroud and a strong Texans offense to only 135 total yards last week The pass defense is dominant, ranking 2nd, while the rush defense is marked 28th.

New York is scoring an average of 15.5 points on the season, marking them 29th. They are conceding an average of only 19.8 points, good for eighth in the NFL.
