The Denver Broncos (2-4) will host the New York Jets (4-2) on Sunday in an AFC showdown. These teams have met in each of the last two seasons. On October 1, 2020, the Broncos beat the Jets 37-28 as a one-point dog. Last year on September 26, the Broncos beat the Jets 26-0 as a 10.5-point favorite.
The New York Jets were expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL, with a preseason over/under win total set at 5.5. Shockingly the Jets have been closer to the class of the AFC than the bottom. New York won its third straight game last Sunday against the Packers 27-10. Green Bay and New York both gained 278 total yards last week, but New York forced the only turnover of the game. The Jets defense also picked up four sacks. The Jets' offense went just 1 for 11 on 3rd downs but benefited from a 20-yard punt block for a touchdown.

The Jets are 17th overall in total offense gaining 343 yards per game, and ninth in total defense allowing 313.2 yards per game. Zach Wilson will get the start at quarterback. Wilson has completed 56% of his passes in three games this season for 572 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Rookie running back Breece Hall leads the team with 391 yards on 5.1 yards per carry.
