New York Giants vs. Tennessee Titans Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 9-11-2022

The New York Giants will open their 2022 campaign when they go on the road to face the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon. New York is on its fifth head coach and third general manager in the last eight years as it looks to turn things around. Tennessee earned the No. 1 seed in the AFC last season before losing to Cincinnati in the divisional round.

New York is trying everything it can to turn things around after making just one playoff appearance in the last decade. The Giants have five straight seasons of double-digit losses, so they brought in new GM Joe Schoen and new head coach Brian Daboll from Buffalo. They will try to turn things around with quarterback Daniel Jones, who has dealt with a bad offensive line, a lack of talent and no depth over his first three seasons in the NFL. New York added center Jon Feliciano, guard Mark Glowinski and guard Max Garcia, while also using a top draft pick on Alabama’s Evan Neal.

Jones is surrounded by running back Saquon Barkley, wide receiver Kenny Golladay, wide receiver Sterling Shepard and wide receiver Kadarius Toney. The Giants lack a star tight end, as Ricky Seals-Jones is expected to play that position. Daboll’s Buffalo offense ranked fifth last season, and he hired Mike Kafka from a successful Kansas State offense. The Giants won’t have Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes under center though, so they need Jones to step up. Defensively, they added defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux with the fifth pick in the draft, and he will join Azeez Ojulari, who had eight sacks as a rookie last year. Daboll brought in Don Martindale as his defensive coordinator, bringing him over from the Ravens.
