The Giants had a rough start to their season, falling 28-6 to the Minnesota Vikings in their home opener. They couldn't cover the 1-point spread, and the game stayed under the 41-point total. QB Daniel Jones struggled, throwing 2 picks and failing to hit 200 passing yards. RB Devin Singletary led the ground game but only managed 37 rushing yards. On the plus side, rookie wideout Malik Nabors made an impact with 5 catches for 66 yards in his NFL debut.

The Commanders fell short in their season opener, losing 37-20 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road. They didn't manage to cover the 4-point spread, but the game did hit the Over on the 41.5-point total. QB Jayden Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick, had a solid debut, passing for 184 yards and rushing for 88 with 2 touchdowns. Unfortunately, the defense let them down, allowing Tampa Bay to amass almost 400 yards of offense.
