New York Giants 2022 futures: Super Bowl odds, win total picks, best bets, schedule and more

Brian Daboll has been on the coaching staffs of five Super Bowl championship teams in New England and his one year as Nick Saban's offensive coordinator at Alabama ended with a National Championship. His time as Josh Allen's offensive coordinator in Buffalo the last four seasons also can be considered a major success. To say he's been fortunate in his coaching career is an understatement. But now he takes over a rebuilding Giants franchise, and the short-term outlook doesn't appear overly bright. Quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley are both entering make-or-break contract seasons; if both fail to stay healthy or don't significantly improve, they'll likely be playing on new teams next fall. Rookie top-seven picks Evan Neal (right tackle) and Kayvon Thibodeaux (edge rusher) will eventually be difference-makers, but it's likely the team will need a roster makeover before they can contend for the NFC East title once again.

After a tough road test to open the season at Tennessee, the Giants' first half schedule isn't overly daunting outside of a matchup with Green Bay in London. Opening the second half at home with Houston and Detroit is a dream start before things get significantly tougher, with five of the six NFC East divisional games left on the schedule. If Daboll can miraculously get productive quarterback play, the Giants could stay in the playoff race longer than some pundits predict.

Unfortunately for New York fans, Daniel Jones isn't tu rning into the next Joe Burrow and therefore the team has zero Super Bowl aspirations. Their best course of action for the future might be to gracefully tank to get another top ten pick and with it a potential franchise quarterback in a deep 2023 class. There might be value on the under seven wins despite Daboll's magical history in the coaching profession. But the schedule ease might cause a few bumps in the road for Under bettors too.
