The New Orleans Privateers and Southeastern Louisiana Lions face off on Monday in a college basketball showdown in the Southland Tournament at The Legacy Center. When these two teams faced off on January 26th it was Southeastern Louisiana that secured the 92-87 victory.
On the other side of this matchup is New Orleans who sits with an 11-19 record overall and they are coming off a big victory on Sunday. New Orleans scored 90 points against Houston Christian and that was enough to secure the 21 point victory. Two games ago against McNeese State, New Orleans scored 73 points, but the defense gave up 80 points. New Orleans is averaging 72.3 points while their defense is giving up 79.8 points per game. Jordan Johnson is averaging 17.7 points while shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 48 percent from behind the three point line.
On the other side of this matchup is Southeast Louisiana who sits with an 18-13 record and they had a by coming into this game. On March 1st they faced off Houston Baptist, and they scored 80 points and were able to win by 16 points. Roger McFarlane had a strong game finishing with 17 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. They are averaging 77.6 points while their defense is giving up 75.8 points per game. Boogie Anderson is the top player averaging 14.1 points while shooting 49.3 percent from the field.
