The New Orleans Saints are on the road as they make the trip north to take on the Green Bay Packers Sunday afternoon. New Orleans comes in off a 20-17 road win over the Panthers in a NFC South tilt on Monday night. They pushed the line as a three-point favorite in the contest. Green Bay was upended 25-24 on the road by Atlanta in their previous game last Sunday, though they did cover the line as a three-point underdog. In the all-time regular season series between the teams, the Packers own a 17-10 advantage though it was the Saints rolling to a 38-3 triumph at home in the most recent meeting on September 12, 2021.

New Orleans had their struggles offensively but came up with enough plays down the stretch to earn the road divisional win over the Panthers on Monday Night Football. The Saints improved to 2-0 on the season and are tied with the Buccaneers atop the NFC South. On Monday night against Carolina, New Orleans was up 6-3 at the half and broke a 6-6 tie on a two-yard run by Tony Jones Jr. with 2:56 to play in the third quarter. The Saints never let the Panthers get even the rest of the way. New Orleans held a 341-239 advantage in total offense, racked up 23 first downs while allowing 14 and owned a 32:49 to 27:11 edge in time of possession in the contest. Each team committed one turnover in the game but the Saints managed to prevail.

On the season, the Saints stand 8th in the league in passing offense with 244.5 yards per contest while they are 18th in rushing offense with 101.5 yard s per game. New Orleans is 25th in the league in scoring offense with 18 points per contest while they are 5th in the league in scoring defense by allowing an average of 16 points a game. Derek Carr is 44 of 69 passing for 533 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He has been sacked eight times. Taysom Hill completed his lone pass attempt for eight yards and leads the team with 79 yards on 12 carries. Jamaal Williams has 27 carries for 74 yards while Tony Jones Jr. (13 carries, 39 yards, two TD) and Rashid Shaheed (two carries, 11 yards) have seen work on the ground as well. Chris Olave leads the team with 14 receptions for 198 yards this season. Michael Thomas (12 catches, 116 yards), Shaheed (nine grabs, 152 yards, TD) and tight end Juwan Johnson (five receptions, 49 yards) are solid targets. Blake Grupe has connected on all three extra points and five of five field goal attempts with a long of 52 on the year.

Williams (hamstr ing) did not practice Wednesday or Thursday: he is expected to miss the contest. Tight end Foster Moreau (ankle) missed Wednesday but was back at practice Thursday in a limited fashion. Hill (knee) was back in practice Thursday and third-round pick Kendre Miller, who missed the first two games, is expected to make his season debut Sunday. Safety Ugo Amadi (knee) was limited in practice Thursday. Alvin Kamara serves the final game of a three-game suspension here.
