The New Orleans Pelicans had their three-game win streak snapped on Saturday night in a 105-100 loss to the Jazz in Utah. The Pelicans not only had won three straight but five out of six before bowing to Utah. The Pelicans led entering the fourth quarter but were outscored by 14 points against the injury-depleted Jazz squad. The Pelicans were a bit short-handed as well, playing without Zion Williamson. Williamson was rested as part of the team's plan to ease him back, particularly in the second half of back-to-back games, and the Pels are now 1-3 without him this season.
“It was really tough back-to-back,” Pelicans coach Willie Green said. “They made some momentum plays. We allowed some momentum plays to turn the game and that was the difference.”
New Orleans comes into this rematch 16th in the league in points per game. They are 13th in field g oal percentage and 16th in 3-point field goal percentage.
