New Orleans Pelicans vs. Golden State Warriors Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-28-2023

New Orleans Pelicans (37-37) vs. Golden State Warriors (39-37)

The NBA betting action goes on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, with the New Orleans Pelicans taking on the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference showdown at Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

New Orleans and Golden State close down their four-game regular-season set. After a couple of losses to the Pels in November (114-105 and 128-83), the Warriors defeated New Orleans 108-99 on March 3. Golden State is a firm 8-point home fave for Tuesday’s battle, while the totals are listed at 234.0 points.

Monday’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the 37-37 New Orleans Pelicans visited the Portland Trail Blazers, searching for their fifth consecutive victory. Over their previous four outings, the Pels have beaten the Houston Rockets 117-107, San Antonio Spurs 119-84, Charlotte Hornets 115-96, and Los Angeles Clippers 131-110.

Last Saturday, the Pelicans trounced the Clippers thanks to a 21-for-34 shooting from beyond the 3-point line. Also, the Pels allowed just a couple of offensive rebounds and forced LA into 20 turnovers. Brandon Ingram led the way for New Orleans with 32 points and 13 assists, while Trey Murphy III had 32 points and a couple of steals and rebounds. CJ McCollum tallied 21 points, eight boards, and eight dishes, and Jonas Valanciunas posted a 17-point, 13-rebound double-double.

“I just see his confidence going up and up,” Ingram said of Murphy, who went 10-for-12 from downtown. “He’s the best shooter on the team”

New Orleans held the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference on Monday. The Pelicans were 1.5 games above the No. 11 Dallas Mavericks and one game behind the No. 6 Golden State Warriors. New Orleans ranks 21st in the league in adjusted offensive efficiency (114.2 points per 100 possessions), 19th in 2-point percentage (54.3%), and 16th in 3-point percentage (36.0%). The Pels allow 112.7 points per 100 possessions (6th in the NBA) on 34.0% shooting from beyond the arc (1st).
