Two struggling Western Conference teams meet Thursday as the Dallas Mavericks host the New Orleans Pelicans. The Mavericks are 27-25 while the Pelicans are 26-26. These two teams split two games this season, with both winning at home.
The New Orleans Pelicans, not to long ago, were the top seed in the Western Conference, But injuries to Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram derailed them and they sank down the standings. Now they are currently losers of 9 straight games and they are 26-26, 10th in the conference.

The good news is the conference is so bunched up that they are only 2 games behind the 4th place LA Clippers. The other good news is Ingram is back. Ingram played in Tuesday's 122-113 loss to the Nuggets in Denver. He had 16 points, 4 rebounds andf 9 assists in 32 minutes of play. Herb Jones and CJ McCollum each added 21 points to lead the Pelicans. The Pelicans rank 12th in points per game and 15th in points allowed per game.
