The New Orleans Pelicans return to action on Thursday night following a tough loss to the Grizzlies on Tuesday night in the return of Ja' Morant from his suspension. The Pelicans led the game by as many as 24 points in the first half but watched Morant and the Grizzlies bounce back in the second half. The Grizzlies led 113-11 with under a minute to go but the Pelicans tied it before Morant's game-winning heroics as time expired. Brandon Ingram was the star for New Orleans with 34 points but his costar, Zion Williamson, struggled with just 13 points thanks to foul trouble.
“BI was great. He made plays for himself, for his teammates, made big basket after big basket,” Pelicans coach Willie Green said. “Unfortunately, we just didn’t do enough.”
