New Mexico at Boise State Prediction – Basketball Picks 2/22/23

The Boise State Broncos will host the New Mexico Lobos in Mountain West play from Extra Mile Arena on FS1. Boise State leads the head-to-head series, 13-9, after winning four of the last five games.

New Mexico improved to 20-7 following a road win over San Jose State. The Lobos jumped onto the Spartans early and didn’t look back, leaving Silicon Valley with a massive 28-point victory, 96-68. UNM scores 82.1 points per game, while allowing 71.5 ppg, and shooting 49.1% from the field.

New Mexico stopped the bleeding with the big win over SJSU, and they have to avoid falling apart over these last four games. UNM is 7-7 MWC play, with a 5-4 road record. The Lobos got a big game from senior forward Morris Udeze against the Spartans, and after posting a 31-point double-double, he leads the team in rebounding (9.1), while scoring 15.8 ppg. Jamal Mashburn Jr. matched his energy with 27 points versus SJSU, and he leads UNM with 20.1 ppg. Senior guard Jaelen House’s (16.9 ppg, 4.6 apg) return was felt, and it should help the Lobos get back on track down the stretch.
