Veterans Services Corporation (VSC) launched its Maryland sports betting app Monday, becoming the 12th sports betting app operational in Maryland. VSC's app, which is powered by platform provider Bee-Fee Limited, is called LetsBetMD.
The operator has both a mobile betting app and website available for bettors, and it's offering a welcome offer to new customers. Bettors who deposit a minimum of $10 will receive up to $200 back in credit if their first wager (maximum odds of +600) loses.
Interestingly, the promotion uses “free bet” language to describe the promotion despite it not truly being a risk-free promotion. That type of language is no longer used by major sportsbooks like DraftKings and FanDuel, and some states like Massachusetts ban the use of “free” in marketing materials to describe promotions that aren't actually free.
Questionable Odds, Interface
Arguably even worse than the promotional language are the operator’s odds. LetsBetMD odds across sports were noticeably worse than major operators.
