The New Jersey Devils face the Minnesota Wild with both teams looking to improve on their strong seasons. The offense has been great but the defense has also stepped up, allowing only 2.65 goals per game. Ryan Graves and Jonas Seigenthaler have combined for 7.6 defensive point shares and 187 blocked shots while Dougie Hamilton, John Marino, and Damon Severson have combined for 7.7 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Vitek Vanecek has been great with a .916 save percentag e and a 2.34 goals-against average on 841 shots with 8.2 goals saved above average.
