The New Jersey Devils face the Dallas Stars with both teams looking to build off of great seasons. The Devils have a 31-13-4 record and with seven wins in their last 10 games, are near the top of the Metropolitan Division. The Stars have a 28-13-9 record and are in first place in the Central Division but look to bounce back from back-to-back overtime losses. Both teams look to remain near the top of their divisions and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Devils are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.47 goals per game. Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt have scored 50 goals and 61 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has also been great. Nico Hischier, Dawson Mercer, and Tomas Tatar have combined for 42 goals and 60 assists while defensemen Dougie Hamilton and Ryan Graves have added 21 goals and 40 assists to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has also stepped up, allowing only 2.60 goals per game. Ryan Graves and Jonas Siegenthaler have combined for 7.2 defensive point shares and 168 blocked shots while Dougie Hamilton, Damon Severson, and Brendan Smith have combined for 6.5 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Vitek Vanecek has stepped up in the net with a .916 save percentage and a 2.30 goals-against average on 776 shots.
