The hope is that Dougie Hamilton steps up at the point as he scored 22 goals and 52 assists this season but only had one goal and two assists in the First Round.
The offense struggled but the defense carried the Devils, allowing only 17 goals including only seven goals in the last five games and a Game Seven shutout. Dougie Hamilton and Jonas Seigenthaler have led the top pairing while John Marino, Ryan Graves, and Damon Severson have also stepped up, creating turnovers in all three one and limiting shots on the net. Additionally, goaltender Akira Schmid was rem arkable in the First Round with a .951 save percentage and a 1.38 goals-against average on 142 shots with 6.2 goals saved above average.
