The New Jersey Devils head to Boston on Saturday to play the second game of a back-to-back following a decisive 6-2 win over Ottawa on Friday night. That win follows a thrilling comeback win in OT over Columbus on Wednesday night. Timo Meier scored on a breakaway to give the Devils a 4-3 win. The Meier goal followed a dramatic goal by Luke Hughes with just 25 seconds left in regulation, scoring after goalie Vitek Vanecek came out for an extra attacker.

“Yeah. I just came off the bench fresh, with some speed,” Hughes said. “I had the crossover behind the net and from there I just let my skating do the work. It’s a good effort for our team, got to clean some things up, but a big win for us.”

The Devils come into this matchup ranked 9th in the NHL in goals per game. They are 15th in shots and 9th in shooting percentage. On the power-play, the Devils are third in the NHL in scoring percentage. Defensively, things have not gone as smoothly for the Devils. They are ranked just 29th in the NHL in goals allowed per game. They are just 26th in shots allowed and are a dismal 29th in save percentage. The Devils' penalty killing hasn't been strong either, ranked just 22nd in the league.

Key Injuries: C Curtis Lazar is out.
