It’s a battle of struggling teams from the Mountain West on the gridiron as they collide in the Rocky Mountains looking for a win. The Nevada Wolf Pack are on the road as they travel to face the Colorado State Rams Saturday afternoon. Nevada was dropped 41-24 on the road by Utah State in their previous contest last Saturday, failing to cover the line as a 14.5-point underdog. Colorado State knocked off San Diego State 22-19 at home last Saturday in their previous game, failing to cover as a 3.5-point favorite in the contest. In the all-time series between the teams, the Rams own a 13-5 advantage, including a 17-14 road victory in the most recent matchup on October 7, 2022.

Nevada suffered a second straight loss as they were unable to slow down Utah State on the road in their previous contest. The Wolf Pack dropped to 2-8 overall and stood tied for eighth in the Mountain West with a 2-4 conference mark. Against Utah State, Nevada was even at seven after the opening quarter before getting outscored 17-3 in the second quarter to trail 24-10 at the half. The Wolf Pack never got closer than that margin in the second half as they went down in defeat. Nevada was outgained 474-347 in total offense, gave up 22 first downs while picking up 18 and won time of possession by a 31:17 to 28:43 margin in the contest. Both teams turned the ball over twice, though Nevada did surrender a pick-six that helped break the game open.
