The Nevada Wolf Pack are on the road as they travel to take on the Air Force Falcons Saturday afternoon. Nevada comes in off a 74-72 home victory over Boise State in their previous contest Wednesday night though they pushed against the spread as a two-point favorite. Air Force was knocked off 71-55 on the road by San Diego State in their most recent game though they did manage to sneak out a cover as a 17-point underdog Wednesday night. In the all-time series between the schools, the Wolf Pack owns a 15-3 advantage, including a 75-68 road win in the most recent matchup on January 15, 2022.

Nevada slipped past Boise State in their previous game to earn their third straight victory at home Wednesday night. The Wolf Pack ran their mark to 11-3 overall and they are 1-0 in conference play heading into this contest. Against Boise State, Nevada trailed by as many as six in the opening half but held Boise State scoreless over the final 5:53 to take a three-point lead to intermission. In the second half, the Wolf Pack trailed by seven with 4:22 to play in the game and still trailed in the final seconds before Kenan Blackshear’s layup with 3.8 seconds to play. Nevada forced a turnover on the ensuing Boise State possession and hit a free throw to close out the win. The Wolf Pack shot 46% from the field, including 10 of 23 from three-point range, and overcame a 38-25 disadvantage on the glass. Blackshear led the way for Nevada with 20 points and five assists in the win.

The Wolf Pack enter this contest 166th in the nation in scoring offense with 73.1 points per game. Nevada is 159th in rebounding by collecting 35.1 boards a night and stand 145th by dishing out 14.1 assists a contest. The Wolf Pack is 81st in scoring defense by allowing 64.8 points per game. Jarod Lucas leads the team as he puts up 16.6 points per game this season. Kenan Blackshear (14.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists) and Will Baker (12.5 points, 4.8 rebounds) also are solid scoring options. Steve Alford is looking for contributions from K.J. Hymes, Nick Davidson, Tre Coleman, Darrion Williams, Trey Pettigrew and Tyler Powell in order to have success. Nevada is shooting 43.2% from the field as a team this season.
