Nevada at San Jose State – 1/7/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Nevada Wolf Pack and San Jose State Spartans face off on Saturday in a college basketball showdown at the Events Center Arena. When these two teams faced off in February it was Nevada that secured the 90-60 victory. 

Nevada comes into this game with a 13-3 record and they have gone 10-4-1 against the spread. In the last game against Colorado State the offense scored 80 points, and they won by 11 points. Two games ago against Air Force, Nevada was able to secure the 75-69 victory. Nevada is averaging 73.6 points while their defense is giving up 65.3 points per game. Guard Jarod Lucas is averaging 17.3 points while shooting 40 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from behind the three point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is San Jose State who sits with an 11-5 record and they have gone 11-4 against the spread. In the last game against Boise State, San Jose State was competitive but they ended up losing 67-64. Guard Omari Moore was the top player finishing with 22 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. The Spartans are averaging 69.4 points while their defense is giving up 65.6 points per game. Moore is averaging 15.4 points while shooting 45 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from behind the three point line.
