Nevada at Fresno State Prediction – Basketball Picks 2/24/23

The Fresno State Bulldogs will host the Nevada Wolf Pack in Mountain West play from the Save Mart Center on FS1. Nevada leads the all-time series after winning ten of the last eleven meetings.

Nevada improved to 21-7 after defeating San Jose State in Reno. The Wolf Pack used a big second half to down the Spartans by 15 points, 61-55. Nevada is scoring 73.2 points per game, while allowing 66.5 ppg, and shooting 45% from the floor.

Nevada has won four of five games this month, and a strong finish could possibly propel them to the tournament. The Wolf Pack are 11-4 in Mountain West play, with a 5-6 road record. Former Oregon State guard Jarod Lucas (16.8 ppg) has been Nevada’s key to success this season, and after a pair of quiet outings, he’ll look to bounce back here against Fresno. Fellow veteran guard Kenan Blackshear is second on the team at 14.7 ppg, while dishing out a team-lead 4.7 apg. Senior center Will Baker scored 25 points versus USU last week, and he’s up to 14.2 ppg and 5.3 rpg.
