Nebraska at Purdue – 1/13/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will head east to West Lafayette and face the Purdue Boilermakers from the Mackey Arena on the Big Ten Network. Purdue and Nebraska have faced off 25 times, with the Boilermakers holding a 19-6 series lead.

Nebraska dropped to 9-8 after losing to Illinois in Lincoln. The Cornhuskers were outscored by double digits in both halves by the Fighting Illini, and suffered their biggest defeat of the season. Nebraska is scoring 68.2 points per game, while allowing 65.9 ppg, and shooting 44.4% from the floor.

Nebraska is off to a 2-4 start in conference play, and things will likely get worse before they improve. The Cornhuskers will be in for an uphill battle if they go into this one without leading scorer and rebounder Derrick Walker, who he left early against Illinois. If Walker misses this bout, the Huskers will lean heavily on NDSU transfer Sam Griesel, who’s averaging a solid line of 11.1 ppg, 5.4 rpg, and 4.3 apg.
